Branson residents and travelers will not be able to access U.S. 65 south from 76 Country Boulevard starting on March 18th for at least four months.
Contractor crews are going to be doing a complete resurfacing of the bridge over Lake Taneycomo on Southbound U.S. 65. At least one lane of the bridge will be closed for months at a time, and the closure of the ramp onto U.S. 65 south is being done for safety reasons.
The contractors will also be repairing issues underneath the northbound bridge. Guard rails will be repaired and upgraded on each side of the bridges.
While the project is projected to be finished by July, weather issues could delay the project further into late summer.
A signed detour will be put into place and drivers are encouraged to avoid the area unless necessary.
