Amazon’s Fulfillment Center in Republic Remains “Closed for Cleaning”

Three months after it opened, Amazon’s fulfillment center in Republic may stay closed for a few more weeks.

The center closed in late October. At the time, the company sent out a statement to KY3, saying the facility is “closed for cleaning, unrelated to COVID-19.”

An Amazon spokesman says the closure is not impacting employee pay, and the company is not expecting any impact to its customers.

The spokesman says all employees will continue to be paid while the cleaning process is completed.

The warehouse is a shipping site for Amazon.
