April Sales Tax Revenue Up in Springfield

April has been a good month for sales tax revenue in Springfield.

City officials say revenue is 10% above budget so far this month, bringing in $3 million more than was budgeted.

That money will be used for capital improvements and employee salaries.

Officials say even though revenue is above budget, inflation is putting some stress on the budget.
