Charges Filed in Murder of Girl in Cole Camp

Murder charges have been filed against two people in the death of a four-year-old girl from Cole Camp.

Prosecutors in Benton County say Ethan Mast and Kourtney Aumen, who are neighbors of the victim’s family, are charged with second degree murder, assault and sexual abuse.

The child was found submerged in a pond, then left to freeze on the bank before being taken back to the house.

The girl’s mother and a two-year-old sibling were severely beaten and taken to a hospital in Sedalia.
