What We Know: The City of Springfield is holding a second public engagement session to discuss the topic of potential data center developments in Springfield.
In late June, the city placed a 120 day moratorium for applications for potential developments. Now, Springfield is hosting public engagement sessions. The first one was held last week and hundreds attended the meeting to voice concerns.
When will the meeting be: Tuesday, September 1, 2026 at Hatch Auditorium at the Library Center on South Campbell. The meeting is from 4:30 pm – 6:30 pm, and they ask attendees to stay the full length of the meeting.
