Convoy of Hope is deploying truckloads of supplies to Texas to help those who have been impacted by the severe cold conditions of the last week.
Trucks will be leaving Convoy’s World Distribution Center Thursday morning for small communities in the Dallas and Houston areas where water systems have been shut down. Some residents have had the pipes inside their homes burst from the cold and will need significant repairs. Millions of families are currently without access to basic needs like food and warm clothing.
“Our partnerships with local churches and organizations are essential to our disaster relief efforts,” Nick Wiersma, VP Disaster Services for Convoy of Hope, said in a statement. “They enable us to respond quickly in times of crisis, and provide aid to those who desperately need it.”
