Crane Man Killed in Shooting

A Crane man is dead after a shooting on Sunday afternoon.

Stone County officials say that 27-year-old Nathan Johnson was shot after an altercation near Highway BB around 4:30 p.m..

A suspect was identified after witness reports and deputies negotiated over the phone with him, the suspect surrendered at a Rapid Roberts around 9 p.m..

The suspect’s name has not been released.

Deputies were able to recover the murder weapon.
