UPDATE: Springfield police have released the name of a woman killed in a crash Thursday night in the 1100 block of north Glenstone in front of Evangel University.
Officers say Leah Renea Gresham, 32, from Springfield, died at a local hospital.
Investigators say Gresham was traveling at a high rate of speed south of Glenstone on Division. She maneuvered between several other vehicles before losing control of the car, which veered off the road, hit a utility pole, rolled over and slammed into a tree.
Police say Gresham was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
Officers with SPD’s Traffic Section are continuing to investigate the circumstances involved in the crash and are asking anyone who has additional information about the incident to contact the Springfield Police Department at 417-864-1810.

A woman is dead after a single car crash on North Glenstone in front of Evangel University Thursday night.
Springfield Police say a woman, in her 30s lost control of her vehicle, began weaving in and out of traffic, struck a light pole, causing he vehicle to roll over several times, before crashing into a tree in front of the university.
She died later at a Springfield hospital.
Her name has not been released at this time.
