A former city employee for Fair Play has admitted stealing tens of thousands of dollars from the city of 475.
Amy Buckley pleaded guilty to six counts including forgery and stealing more than $25,000 on December 22.
The court sentenced her to between 5 and 10 years in prison on each of the counts, but suspended the sentences in favor of five years of supervised probation.
Court papers show Buckley gave herself 20 paychecks between January to April 2019, and almost $100,000 has gone missing from the city’s funds since 2014.
Buckley was also ordered to pay $78,000 in restitution.
