“Great Turkey Hunt” Now Through Sunday in Republic City Parks

The city of Republic is hosting the Great Turkey Hunt through Sunday afternoon.

The Republic Parks & Recreation Department is placing wooden turkeys throughout the city’s park system: Brookline Park, J.R. Martin Park, Miller Park, Moore Park, Owen Park, and along the Shuyler Creek Trail.

Families are encouraged to visit the parks to try and find the hidden turkeys.

There is also a special “golden turkey” that will be moving among the parks through the weekend. Anyone who finds the golden turkey and submits a photo with it to the city will have a chance to win prizes.

Residents are encouraged to email the shots to the city rather than posting them on social media. Everyone who submits their photos to parksinfo@republic.gov will have one guaranteed entry into a drawing for prizes.
