Greene County Tops 10,000 COVID-19 Cases

The Springfield-Greene County Health Department reported two more deaths from COVID-19 related complications along with a milestone for total number of cases within the county.

The county reported 343 new cases of COVID-19 over the weekend, bringing the county’s cumulative total to 10,313, with the county passing the 10,000 mark on Friday. The county has seen an 18% change in cases in the last week.

The county is reporting 3,491 active cases, with 190 currently requiring hospitalization. There are 73 Greene County residents hospitalized, with 35 of the overall hospitalized patients in ICU.

The two deaths reported Monday were a man in his 70s and a woman in her 90s. The death toll for the county is 156.
