93.3 KWTO Keeping Watch Over the Ozarks
A fire at Hawthorn Park in Springfield Saturday appears to have been deliberately set.
Initially fire investigators thought children playing with matches set the blaze that destroyed playground equipment but later said they are investigating arson. Witnesses saw the blaze and called 911 around 1 p.m..
The park is open but the playground cannot be used due to the fire.
No one was injured.
