Kidnapping Suspect’s House Burns Down

The house of a man jailed for the kidnapping Cassidy Rainwater has burned to the ground.

The house of James Phelps on Moon Valley Road near Lebanon burned Monday.

Dallas County Sheriff Scott Rice confirmed that it is a total loss.

The sheriff said, in a press release early Monday morning, that the F-B-I had removed several important items for the investigation from the house.

The fire marshal will investigate.

Phelps and another suspect, Timothy Norton, also of Lebanon, are scheduled to appear in court today in Dallas County.
