A man from Humansville is being held in the Polk County Jail after authorities say he shot at two people following an argument.
Investigators say Timothy Heidemann was working on a vehicle at his home on East Fisher Street Tuesday morning when a man and woman parked on the edge of his property.
According to the two, they were there to do an appraisal of the home when he began shouting at them that they couldn’t park the car there.
The argument escalated between the man and Heidemann, as witnesses say Heidemann got physical with the man, slamming him into his vehicle.
The witness told police Heidemann then ran into his home, then two gunshots were fired.
Heidemann admitted to firing two shots, one in the air and another towards the vehicle of the two victims.
After the second shot, the man and woman fled the scene in the vehicle, which sustained damage to the passenger window and front windshield.
Detectives interviewed Heidemann, who admitted that he had, “done something stupid.”
He is charged with two counts of first-degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon, two counts of armed criminal action, and one count of property damage.
