Missing Three-Year-Old Found Safe in Branson

A three-year-old child who wandered away from his family during a stay at the Westgate Branson Woods Resort has been found safe after a massive search.

Branson police received a call around 7:25 a.m. to rush to the 2200 block of Roark Valley Road for a missing child. Video surveillance showed the three-year-old wandering alone around the main lobby of the Westgate Branson Woods Resort at 5 a.m..

Police initiated an extensive search of the property and found the child inside a vehicle owned by the resort. The child was able to open and door so they could escape the weather. Police found the child asleep and unharmed.

Police thanked the community for their help, and the local law enforcement partners who rushed to help with the search.

No charges will be filed in connection with the incident.
