Missouri Senator Josh Hawley has released a statement condemning the actions of hundreds of protestors who breached the U-S Capitol building in Washington, D.C. Wednesday as Congress met to count the electoral votes in the 2020 Presidential Election.
“Thank you to the brave law enforcement officials who have put their lives on the line,” Hawley said. “The violence must end, those who attacked police and broke the law must be prosecuted, and Congress must get back to work and finish its job.”
Congress is expected to resume the counting process by Wednesday evening.
