MO Department of Corrections Office Evacuated

The Missouri Department of Corrections office in Jefferson City had to be evacuated Monday, when an envelope of white powder was found by an employee.

The staff was evacuated and responders in hazmat suits decontaminated the office.

It was determined the powder was the painkiller acetaminophen and the employees went back to work.

An investigation continues.
