Morning Snowfall in the Ozarks Leads To Crashes and Stalled Vehicles….Get Updated Road Conditions Here

Snow began falling early Thursday morning in the Ozarks, including the Springfield metro area, with hazardous road conditions, especially north of Springfield.

By mid morning, the snow had stopped falling and roads began to improve, although with cold temperatures, many roads are still at least partly snow covered.

The National Weather Service says accumulations generally range from a trace to one inch, with an inch of snow reported in Springfield. .

A Winter Weather Advisory remained in effect through noon Thursday for areas primarily along and south of I-44, although snow has tapered off around the area.

This system was fast moving, which limited the duration of the snow.
