Potential for Strong to Severe Storms in the Ozarks Tuesday Night and Wednesday

A storm system will bring thunderstorms to southwest Missouri Tuesday night and Wednesday.

The National Weather Service says strong to severe storms will be possible across the area during that time frame with large hail and damaging winds the main potential severe weather hazards.

The Storm Prediction Center has much of our area under the green-shaded “marginal risk” for severe storms Tuesday night, with a yellow coded “slight risk” west of Springfield, generally along and just east of the Interstate 49 corridor.

The entire area is under a marginal risk for severe storms during the day Wednesday.
