Rapid COVID-19 testing is now available for students attending Springfield Public Schools.
The district began offering the tests to staff members in late November.
Students are getting their turn beginning this week.
Kids will have to go through a special entrance to Study Alternative Center.
Parents may request a test by coordinating with the school nurse, who sets an appointment.
Students who are tested must show symptoms of COVID-19.
Nearly 200 employees have been tested, with 36 positives for the coronavirus.
The rapid antigen tests come to the district from the state of Missouri, and it provides results in just 15 minutes.
