Snow Covered Roads Throughout the Ozarks: Get Statewide Road Conditions Here

Roads are treacherous in the Ozarks Wednesday morning as an additional two and a half inches of snow fell on top of them overnight in the Springfield area.

The MoDOT Traveler Information Map is showing all highways in southwest Missouri snow covered.

Roads in Springfield are in rough shape, with James River Freeway, Highway 65 and I-44 also snow packed.

A crash involving several tractor trailers has caused big delays on westbound I-44 near the Halltown exit at the 57 mile marker. As of 7:30 a.m., the westbound right lane was closed, and traffic was being diverted at the 57 exit onto Highway 96.

If you do have to get out today, allow plenty of extra time to get where you’re going, and have a blanket and other supplies in your car to stay safe if you become stalled and have to heat while waiting for help to arrive.
