As mass COVID-19 vaccination clinics begin across the state of Missouri, the Springfield-Greene County Health Department is issuing a challenge to the community: “Finish Strong” by having at least 70% of the local population get fully vaccinated.
Public health experts believe the 70% mark will indicate a good level of protection against the coronavirus.
The health department has updated its COVID-19 dashboard to reflect how many people in Greene County and surrounding counties have been vaccinated.
Part of the update is a progress chart which indicates the percentage of folks who have received the vaccine.
As of Thursday morning, the dashboard shows 2.3% of the local population is fully vaccinated.
