Police in Springfield have released the name of a man from Marionville who died in a crash last month between a motorcycle and pickup at Kansas Expressway and Catalpa.
Officers say James Gailey, 39, was riding the motorcycle when it hit the back of the truck on November 19th.
Gailey died at the scene.
Investigators were finally able to reach Gailey’s family after several attempts.
The department’s Traffic Unit is investigating the circumstances involved in the crash, but impairment is not suspected as a factor.
This was the 21st fatality crash and the 23rd total crash-related death of 2020 in Springfield.
