Much of the Ozarks is under a marginal risk for severe storms late Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, and again Wednesday afternoon.
The National Weather Service says thunderstorms will develop from central Kansas into Western Missouri into western Missouri starting Tuesday night.
A few of these storms could produce hail up to the size of half dollars.
The bigger threat for severe storms overnight is west of Springfield.
A few strong to severe storms may be ongoing Wednesday morning, with further development along a front moving through Wednesday afternoon.
Areas along and east of Highway 65 stand the best chance of seeing bad weather in the afternoon Wednesday, with large hail, damaging winds, and isolated tornadoes possible.
The eastern Ozarks stands the best chance of getting this bad weather in the afternoon hours.
