93.3 KWTO Keeping Watch Over the Ozarks
The Greene County Sheriff’s Office and Battlefield Police are investigating after two people were found dead Wednesday morning inside of a burning home in Battlefield.
The sheriff’s office says fire units responded to the 4000 block of west Somerset Drive just after 6 a.m.
When they arrived, they found the house on fire and eventually located two people who were dead inside the residence.
The sheriff says this is an active investigation.
It’s not known how the two died, their ages, or any circumstances surrounding the fire.
The sheriff’s office says it will release more information as it becomes available.
