Widespread Rain To Move Into the Ozarks, With a Marginal Risk of Severe Storms Wednesday Night

Widespread rainfall is expected to sweep across the Ozarks Wednesday evening and overnight.

Some thunder, lightning and gusty winds are all possible.

A marginal risk of severe thunderstorms exists over southeastern Kansas and far western Missouri Wednesday night, with hail up to the size of quarters and 60 mile per hour wind gusts possible.

The National Weather Service says rainfall amounts will range from one quarter of an inch to around an inch, with the heaviest amounts along the Interstate 49 corridor west of Springfield.
