Barry County deputies have arrested a man from Seligman on Wednesday for the alleged sexual assault of a 15-year-old girl.
22-year-old Francisco Marquez has been charged with 2nd-degree statutory rape and 2nd-degree statutory sodomy.
The victim told the Missouri Department of Social Services that Marquez added her on Snapchat and began sending her sexually explicit images of himself. According to the victim she had known Marquez a long time thru the church they both attended.
At some time in June of 2025 the victim met Marquez at night down the road from her house. The victim said that between June and July of 2025 the two engaged in oral sex between 10 and 15 times, and sexual intercourse 3 or 4 times.
Court records state detectives tried to contact Marquez several times but he did not return their requests.
Marquez is now being held in the Barry County jail with no bond, according to online records.
