Thunderstorms are likely in the Ozarks at times on Wednesday.

The National Weather Service says some of those storms may be severe, with large hail up to the size of golf balls, damaging wind gusts up to 70 miles per hour, and a few tornadoes.

Forecasters say the main question is the timing of the storms, which could form as early as Wednesday afternoon, but are more likely in the evening.

There’s also increasing confidence in the potential for severe storms Friday afternoon and evening.

Here’s the updated severe weather packet from the National Weather Service, with a detailed look at severe weather hazards and timing.

We’ll have updated forecasts and any watches and warnings here first at 93-3 and AM 560 KWTO.
