What We Know: A Springfield mother of three is preparing to celebrate a major milestone—becoming a homeowner.
What It Means: Habitat for Humanity will hold a home dedication Tuesday afternoon for Ashley and her three children, after nearly a year of renovations.
The project received a big boost from Strafford-based Amprod, which donated $50,000 and provided volunteers to help with the work.
ROOV and GAF also donated roofing labor and materials, bringing total support to more than $60,000.
Ashley says rising rent costs made it difficult to find a stable home for her family.
A special ribbon-cutting is being held at 4 p.m. today.
