93.3 KWTO Keeping Watch Over the Ozarks
A woman is under arrested for attempting to kidnap a child in the parking lot of an Ava grocery store Saturday.
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Department says an Ava Police officer responded to a report of a woman saying a woman was trying to take her child in a grocery store parking lot.
Officers observed Tabbitha Evans yelling at the woman, “Let me have her.”
She then attempted to grab the child from the woman.
Police believe Evans may have been under the influence and followed the woman and child from Ozark.
Evans bond is set at $10,000 and she is to stay out of Douglas County.
