Bass Pro Shops World Fishing Fair Could Draw 500,000 People to Springfield Next Week

Bass Pro Shops’ World’s Fishing Fair returns to Springfield next week, and it could bring as many as 500,000 people to the city.

The event runs March 30-April 3.

Bass Pro is working with the Springfield Police Department and Springfield-Greene County Office of Emergency Management to prepare for the influx of people and traffic.

Campbell Avenue between Sunshine and Cherokee will be closed during the World’s Fishing Fair.

Bass Pro is also partnering with local hospitals and disaster medical assistance teams for emergency room transports, if needed.
