BBB Warns of Free Grocery and Gas Voucher Scams

What We Know: The Better Business Bureau is warning Missourians about postcards promising hundreds of dollars in free gas and grocery vouchers.

What It Means: The BBB says the offers may actually be attempts to get your credit card or banking information.

The postcards typically tell people to call a number or visit a website and pay a processing fee to claim their reward.

Some consumers who responded to similar offers reported unauthorized charges, unwanted monthly subscriptions, or gift cards that never arrived.

The BBB says don’t hand over your banking or credit card information just to claim a supposedly free reward.
