What We Know: A fundraiser in Branson on Sunday raised money to help women escape the trauma of human trafficking and rebuild their lives.
What It Means: The Pathways Project is a nonprofit organization that provides safe housing and support services for women who have survived trafficking, helping them regain their independence.
What’s Next: The organization operates two homes. One provides short-term shelter and immediate care, while the other helps women work toward employment, transportation, and permanent housing.
Since opening in January, the housing program has helped ten women and one child.
Pathways is also seeking trained volunteers to help support residents.
