Branson Police Release Crime Report

The Branson Police Department released their 2021 Crime Report to the Board of Aldermen.

It showed the crime was down for the fifth year in a row. Crime decreased in Branson 32-percent between 2017 and 2021, however the report did mention Branson’s first homicide since 2016.

Branson Police Chief Jeff Mathews said the downward trend is due to the department being more engaged with the community.

He said he is encouraged by the trends.
