Branson Police Update Investigation of Officer Involved Shooting

The Branson Police Department has given an update on an investigation into an officer involved fatal shooting from February.

Branson Police Chief Eric Schmitt says no criminal charges will be filed, by Taney County Prosecutor Brad Hughes, against any of the Branson police officers involved.

Officers found a wanted suspect, Randall Wesolek Junior, at a gas station on West 76 Country Boulevard on the night of February 28, 2023.

Officers fired at Wesolek after he displayed a gun. when he was asked to get out of his car.

He was fatally wounded and died at the scene.
