Family and friends of a doctor from Cassville are holding close the memories of him, holding a candlelight vigil in his honor.
Dr. John Forsyth was found dead in Arkansas in late May after going missing from his home in Cassville.
Investigators found his car with his phone and wallet inside at a park in Cassville shortly after he went missing. His body was later found at Beaver Lake in northwest Arkansas.
On Sunday, some 50 family and friends came together to remember his life and legacy with a candlelight vigil, where there was a moment of silence followed by people telling stories and memories of the man who spent most of his professional career as an ER doctor at Mercy Hospital Cassville.
The investigation into Forsyth’s death is still ongoing.
