What We Know: Christian County deputies will be checking on 67 registered sex offenders this Halloween.
Sheriff Brad Cole says deputies will ensure those subject to Missouri’s Halloween restrictions follow the law.
What It Means: Those restrictions require them to stay home from 5 to 10:30 on Halloween night unless they have a legally recognized reason to leave.
They must also keep outside lights off and avoid Halloween-related contact with children.
What’s Next: Cole says the checks are part of the department’s efforts to keep children safe.
