What We Know: College of the Ozarks is preparing to honor American service members who were prisoners of war or never returned home.
What It Means: The college will dedicate a new POW-MIA Memorial at Patriots Park on its Point Lookout campus Thursday, November 5th.
The memorial will serve as a permanent reminder of the sacrifices made by American veterans, including those still missing in action.
What’s Next: The college says the memorial is also part of its effort to teach students about military history through firsthand experiences with veterans.
The dedication begins at 2 p.m., and the public is invited to attend.
