After visiting the country of Israel earlier this month, Congressman Eric Burlison is now publicly advocating for an increase in aid and assistance for the area.
After returning from the trip, he said, “Israel didn’t ask for this. They didn’t ask for the people of Palestine, including Hamas, to attack, rape, destroy their communities, and then to criticize them that they’re more successful than Hamas at going after their adversaries isn’t appropriate.”
Burlison represents the 7th Congressional District, which includes Springfield, Branson, and Joplin.
He was joined by 17 other members of Congress, including fellow Missouri Congressman Mark Alford.
Both politicians pushed for President Biden to support Israel further, saying the first step is negotiating the release of the over 130 hostages Hamas is holding captive.
