Crash at Panera Injures Two People

Two people were injured Thursday when an SUV crashed through the window of the Panera Bread location near the M-S-U campus.

Springfield Police say the crash happened around 4 pm.

The S-U-V was entirely inside the restaurant.

Two people inside the restaurant were injured, but the driver of the SUV was not hurt.

Police are not sure what caused the crash.

Part of National Avenue had to be closed while police investigated the crash.
