The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports a single vehicle crash near Phelps killed a teenage driver Wednesday.
Troopers say the driver was travelling along Highway UU when the vehicle went off the right side of the road and overturned.
The 16-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene. A 14-year-old passenger in the vehicle was hospitalized with moderate injuries.
Neither of the teenager’s identities have been released, per Highway Patrol policy.
