Springfield Fire Department responded to a large backyard fire in northwest Springfield early Wednesday morning.
What We Know: The call came in at 6:15 a.m. from a neighbor who witnessed the fire. When crews got there, they found it to be larger than expected.
SFD was able to contain the fire and no injuries are reported.
What Remains Unclear: The official cause of the fire has not been given. No information about citations, violations, or criminal activity have been given from officials.
