What We Know: Dog owners may want to check their pet supplies.

What It Means: Two dog supplements sold nationwide on Amazon and Chewy are being recalled because of possible Salmonella contamination.

Vet Plus is recalling Fi Calming Supplement for Dogs and Fi 8-in-1 Formula Supplement for Dogs.

The recalled products have lot numbers 26118 and 26159, with UPC codes 850064800111 and 850055111684.

The FDA says Salmonella can make dogs sick and can also pose a risk to people who handle contaminated products or animal waste.

Symptoms in dogs can include diarrhea, vomiting, fever, loss of appetite, and low energy.

What’s Next: Pet owners are being told to stop using the recalled supplements and throw them away with the lids tightly sealed. Anyone whose dog shows symptoms should contact a veterinarian.
