Two attractions in the Branson area are remembering Dolly Parton, who died Tuesday at the age of 80:

What They’re Saying: Officials with the Stampede say they partnered with Parton 40 years ago on creating venues that welcomed millions of visitors and created opportunities for thousands. Jack Lawrence, CEO of World Choice Investments, released a statement saying “Our partnership was built on a shared commitment to creating meaningful, memorable experiences for families. Dolly’s vision elevated everything she touched, but it was her kindness and genuine love for people that left the greatest impression on all of us. Her legacy will continue to guide how we serve our guests and carry forward the traditions we built together.”
More on Dolly Parton’s Stampede: The attraction has two locations, one in Branson and the other in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. The businesses also run the Pirates Voyage locations in Myrtle Beach and Panama City Beach.
How Silver Dollar City is Connected to Dolly: SDC Owners Jack and Peter Herschend began a partnership with Parton in 1985 in creating the Dollywood Theme Park, which later expanded with the creation of Dollywood’s Splash Country Water Park.
