What We Know: Evangel University President Mike Rakes has resigned. Rakes has been President of Evangel University for the past five years.
“Serving as President of Evangel University has been one of the greatest honors of my life,” President Rakes said. “As Darla and I begin the next chapter of our lives, we do so with hearts overflowing with gratitude. We leave blessed because of the friendships we have formed and the privilege of walking this journey with you.”
What’s Next: Dr. Michael Kolstad will step in as the interim president. Kolstad has been associated with Evangel University for the past 35 years. The board will begin the search for the next president within the next few months.
