What We Know: A former lieutenant with the Greene County Sheriff’s Office faces four misdemeanor charges for allegedly misusing license plate cameras.

What It Means: Court documents show Jennifer Flood’s account was used to search a woman’s license plate hundreds of times between July of last year and October of this year.

Earlier this month, investigators reviewed those searches and eventually found 236 involving the same plate.

Authorities say the woman was never a suspect in a criminal investigation.

What’s Next: Flood reportedly admitted she was curious about the woman’s activities and had also used another law enforcement database to look up her information.

The woman told investigators she was afraid Flood might show up at her home.

The Sheriff’s Office confirms Flood is no longer with the department.
