Former Nixa Police Officer Pleads Guilty to Sex Crimes Involving a Minor

Prosecutors in Nixa say a former police officer with the city is entering an Alford Plea for sex crimes against a minor.

Cody Scott pleaded guilty to two counts of statutory sodomy in the case.

In entering an Alford Plea, Scott maintains his innocence, but admits that the prosecution had overwhelming evidence against him.

The victim told investigators that she and Scott had sex seven or eight times at his home in the Marionville area from September to December of 2021.

Sentencing details in the case have not been released at this time.
