The Community Partnership of the Ozarks is hosting a free recycling event today at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds.
Springfield residents are invited to drop off their unwanted documents and electronics for proper disposal from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
CPO says that the event is a great opportunity for residents to dispose of unneeded materials without worrying about whether or not they were really destroyed.
Organizers warn that this is a very popular event and if the recycling trucks are filled before 7 p.m., they will shut down the event early; so make sure to get there as early as possible to have a chance to dispose of your items.
If you do plan to attend, you must bring proof of Springfield residency in order to participate, and that CPO cannot dispose of appliances or microwaves.
