What We Know: Frozen berries sold at Walmart and Trader Joe’s are being recalled because of possible E. coli contamination.
What It Means: The recall includes Great Value frozen organic blueberries and Triple Berry Blend, along with Trader Joe’s frozen organic Mixed Berry Blend. The products were sold in Missouri and several other states.
The FDA says the recall is connected to an E. coli outbreak that sickened 17 people, including six who were hospitalized.
What’s Next: If you have frozen berries at home, check the package before eating them. Recalled berries should be thrown away or returned to the store for a refund
