Schoeller said the estimate is based on absentee voting totals and comparisons to similar statewide elections, particularly the 2018 primary.
What It Means: He noted that ballot issues often have a bigger impact on turnout than candidate races alone.
“When you have an issue that a voter is interested in, that does seem to help turn people out to vote,” Schoeller said.
What’s Next: Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Voters should report to their assigned polling place or one of Greene County’s five central polling locations.
Schoeller reminded voters to bring a valid state- or federal-issued photo ID and encouraged them to review the ballot before arriving at the polls.
“We just encourage voters to get out and have their voice be heard,” he said.
